If a roast Sunday lunch with all the trimmings is a regular fixture in your house, then you might be surprised to learn that for quite some time, this meal fell out of favour. Instead, when it came to Sunday socialising, brunch ruled the roost.

From eggs benedict to huevos rancheros, bottomless mimosas to breakfast cocktails, an entire generation of restaurant goers voted with their feet and swapped a traditional lunch for a boujie brunch.
