Artie Clifford on 17 years of the Blas na hÉireann awards: ‘I’m very optimistic for Irish food’

As he prepares to open entries for this year’s Blas awards, their founder reflects on the changing face of the Irish food scene

When Artie Clifford set up the Blas na hÉireann food awards in 2007, the range of entries he received reflected an Irish food scene that was considerably less diverse than it is now.
