Oh happy Dae: Vegan ice cream company Leamhain rebrands, targets export markets
The business, which was set up by chef Conor Sweeny, has been renamed Dae ahead of a planned expansion into Britain and Europe
Chef Conor Sweeny, who launched the vegan, gluten-free and nut-free ice cream range Leamhain in 2021, has rebranded the business as Dae as he prepares to move into exporting.
Sweeny said that he had considered “about 60” alternative names when he decided on the rebrand.
“We want to be exporting to Britain and Europe within about 15 months, and an Irish language name - Leamhain means river - is a hard sell out of Ireland. ...
