Award-winning fish shop and restaurant goes into liquidation

Saltwater Grocery, the fishmonger and seafood restaurant in Dublin that won a Food & Wine award last year and was lauded by critics, has been permanently closed and placed into liquidation.

Niall Sabongi and Karl Whelan’s Terenure outlet opened in 2021 and operated as a fish shop, high-end grocery and takeaway coffee bar during the day before offering a nine-course tasting menu to diners on Thursday to Saturday nights.
