Episode two of Same Again by Food&Wine is out now
Brought to you in association with Cloud Picker Coffee, our latest episode features Kristin Jensen and is available now on Spotify Apple Podcasts and everywhere else you get your podcasts.
Same Again by Food&Wine is a new podcast that looks at our lives through food and drink. Each week, host Jordan Mooney will invite a special guest to F&W HQ and make or serve them their favourite drink – whether it’s a strong cup of tea, an extra sour margarita, a Starbucks frappuccino or something in between – before dissecting why exactly this is their drink. Then, we’ll discuss the guest’s life through food and drink, including food memories, signature dishes, last ever meals, and more. Expect to hear from chefs, TV presenters, Instagrammers, musicians and more on Same Again, where food and drink is at the centre of the conversation. Brought to you in association with Cloud Picker Coffee, see cloudpickercoffee.ie for more information on this brilliant Irish company.
In the second episode of Same Again by Food&Wine, food writer and publisher Kristin Jensen of Nine Bean Rows visits F&W HQ to chat flat whites, meatball sandwiches, gourmet popcorn and her aversion to black pudding. Make sure to like, subscribe and review - Same Again is available now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and wherever else you get your podcasts.
Explaining why a flat white is her favourite drink, Kristin says they work for her because the coffee isn’t drowned out by milk.
“I was at an impromptu food festive up in Inishowen in Donegal and it was called Inishfood and they made coffee with raw milk,” she says. “I think it’s the only coffee I’ve ever had to this day with raw milk and it was just out of this world. It was so perfect and I could just drink it all day.”
We used Cloud Picker Coffee’s Henry blend to make Kristin’s flat white - which is named for owner Frank and Peter’s dog - and you can see the delicious blend here.
