Government client companies employ record number as sales rise
The employment survey covers jobs from companies of Enterprise Ireland, the IDA and Údarás na Gaeltachta
The number of people employed by companies of government agencies hit a record high in 2023, as sales increased.
Client companies of Enterprise Ireland, the IDA and Údarás na Gaeltachta employed 535,604 in 2023, a 0.8 per cent increase from the previous year, according to the annual employment survey.
The record high figure came as employment in foreign direct investment (FDI) firms dropped 0.2 per cent in the year with 601 fewer jobs.
