Noonan named chair of Daft website owner

Irish media executive Orla Noonan has been named acting chairwoman of MPI, the company that co-owns the Daft and DoneDeal websites.

MPI is a new company hived off from Schibsted, the Norwegian media group that co-owns the websites. Schibsted is splitting off its online classified websites into the firm, which will be listed on the Oslo stock market.
