Indigenous firms struggle to make sales to multinationals

Indigenous Irish businesses are struggling to cement sales relationships with major multinationals based in the country, internal figures from Enterprise Ireland reveal.

Statistics released under the Freedom of Information Act show that in 2013, just two companies achieved supplier status with multinational corporations which have a presence in Ireland. A target of 40 companies had been set for that year; only 5 per cent of the target was achieved.
