Renault Ireland boss: 6 per cent of new cars on Irish roads may be electric by end of 2020

Paddy Magee told The Sunday Business Post that interest in electric vehicles among Irish drivers had increased significantly in recent months, with Renault selling four times as many of its Zoe models this month as it did last January

Electric cars could account for 6 per cent of the Irish new car market by the end of 2020, according to the managing director of Renault Ireland. Last year, fewer than 1 per cent of new cars sold here were electric.
