‘Reckless trading’ raised by RTÉ board

A meeting last year heard the broadcaster was potentially unable to maintain it existing services due to the funding crisis

The RTÉ board raised a series of concerns that the broadcaster is at risk of “reckless trading” and potentially unable to maintain existing services, newly released documents show.

Concerns were also raised that the broadcaster’s news app, a key digital service, was “at risk of falling over”.
