Michael O’Leary accuses Eamon Ryan of spreading ‘untruths’ in passenger cap row
Ryanair chief refuted transport minister’s claim that he has sought to meet with the airline
Micheal O’Leary has lambasted the transport minister’s claim that he has worked “tirelessly” on behalf of those in the Irish aviation sector as “simply false”.
The claim was contained in the third public correspondence between the Ryanair chief and Eamon Ryan, in which O’Leary criticised the minister and invited him to a meeting at the airline’s headquarters to discuss the ongoing row over expanding Dublin Airport.
O’Leary said that Ryan had “failed to take any action” to remove the 32 million annual passenger cap at the aerodrome in the four years since he took the transport portfolio, and accused him of interfering in the planning process in the case of the MetroLink underground line.
