Ibec calls for 9% Vat rate for hospitality to be kept as minimum wage set to rise

Ibec, the business representative group, has called on the government to indefinitely retain the 9 per cent Vat for businesses including pubs, hotels, and restaurants.

The rate is scheduled to cease on August 31 and the expected removal has already received substantial opposition from within the industry.
