Government announces €600m funding for Tyrone to Derry corridor

The government has committed to providing €600 million for the upgrade of the A5 North-West transport corridor between Tyrone and Derry as part of a package of Shared Island funding initiatives.

The overall €800 million announced includes a commitment of €50 million for the redevelopment of Casement Park in Belfast, slated as a host stadium for the Euro 2028 championships, jointly hosted by the UK and Ireland; €12.5 million for a new hourly rail service ...
