Government signs off on Ireland’s joint bid with UK for Euro 2028

The cabinet held an incorporeal meeting this afternoon to discuss the plan

Cabinet has signed off on finalised details for Ireland’s joint bid with the UK to host the European Championships in 2028.

Details on what stadiums in Ireland have been included in the final bid have not been released.

They agreed to underwrite the funding of the bid and provide guarantees to the FAI about funding for transport, infrastructure and security.
