Electricity wholesale prices fall to lowest level since 2021

Wholesale electricity prices fell by 47 per cent in the twelve months to February, their lowest level since the start of 2021.

Taken on a month-to-month basis, new figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) indicate that the price of electricity dropped 15.3 per cent between January and February, having risen in the month before January.
