Bringing back the bubbly - CSO adds champagne to shopping basket

Bubbles are back after a five year break following a fall off in sales during the downturn

Champagne is making a return to the shopping basket used by the Central Statistics Office to measure the cost of living.

Bubbly was excluded by the CSO five years ago after a decline in sales during the recession as consumers cut back on spending.
