15,000 Ukrainian refugees now working in Ireland, mainly in hospitality

A total of 92,346 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in Ireland since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February last year, CSO figures show

Almost 15,000 Ukrainian refugees are now working in the Irish economy, according to the latest figures.

It comes at a time when the government has run out of buildings to house all newly arrived Ukrainian refugees, with up to 750 being accommodated in tents on the Electric Picnic site in Co Laois.
