Chelsea may pay the price of splashing the cash on players

Without the income provided by European football, the beleaguered club could find itself in serious financial difficulty

The sports headlines are focusing on Chelsea’s search for a new manager for its first team. More interesting to watch in the coming months will be how the club passes financial fair play rules now that it is almost certain not to have the income from European football to bolster its revenues next season.
