Julien Comte of Iciar cafe and deli in Blackrock

A French food favourite

Julien Comte, who left his native Paris to move to Ireland in 2020, has built up a loyal customer base at Iciar, his cafe and deli in the Frascati Centre in Blackrock in Co Dublin. As well as cheese and charcuterie boxes, Comte serves up coffee, croque monsieurs, freshly-baked French bread and pastries, and a selection of French wines.

He will open a second in Whelans Wines in Loughlinstown next month, fresh from winning the best delicatessen title at the French Champion awards, which are organised by Business France and the French government trade agency. See iciar.ie for more details.
