“Capitalism is in trouble.” John Teeling offers this observation in his typical fashion: blunt, matter of fact, yet full of conviction.

We’re in his boardroom at 162 Clontarf Road, headquarters of the 162 Group, his long-time investment vehicle, where he is surrounded by bottles of whiskey — some new, some very old — and lumps of rock, symbols of the group’s twin investment focus of whiskey and natural resources.
