How professionals bring achievement to top of the class

Professional role models can play an important role in steering schoolgoing children towards successful careers in growing sectors and lighting the entrepreneurial spark at an early age. This is according to Helen Raftery, chief executive of Junior Achievement Ireland (JAI).

In operation for 20 years, JAI runs a raft of mentoring programmes at primary- and secondary school-level, aimed at teaching pupils aged from six to 16 about entrepreneurship, employability and financial literacy.
