Malone’s Liberty Global eyes TV3 buy

The sale of TV3 is edging nearer, with the giant US media company Liberty Global the favourite to snap the channel up after completing due diligence.

Liberty Global is controlled by American tycoon John Malone and owns the TV and broadband company UPC. It is understood to have expressed an interest in TV3 a short time ago and has been quietly working on a deal.
