RTÉ in crisis: Inappropriate management practices impeded transparency, new report finds
Three reports into the national broadcaster have found the a culture of “inappropriate management practices” hampered governance at RTÉ
Experts tasked to investigate RTÉ have said successive governments left “important skills gaps” in the organisations board, which “undermined governance and assurance” at the national broadcaster.
Last year, Catherine Martin, the minister for media, commissioned three probes into RTÉ. One of these reviews has focused on governance and culture, while a second has assessed human resources and contractors’ fees at RTÉ. A third was commissioned to examine the broadcaster’s use of a barter account.
