Leo Powell’s car remained parked outside his house for six days as the Beast from the East and Storm Emma engulfed the country in a wintry blanket a week ago. Going nowhere, and with deep snow drifts in Clane in Co Kildare, where he lives, cabin fever set in fairly quickly.
