T o begin, a statistic. In three hours of Europa League group football, Dundalk have earned €3.08 million. Or the equivalent in prize money of winning every League of Ireland until 2044. That may seem like a grey and unromantic view of the greatest achievement in Irish sport this year, an accountant rudely taking over the conversation from an artist, but try telling that to the club.
