Independent report says Leeside apartment 'evictions' could be avoided

Lugus Capital is seeking to terminate the tenancies of 23 households at the Cork building to carry out what it describes as essential fire safety works

A fire safety report on Leeside apartments supports the possibility of works being done there in a way that doesn’t require two dozen families to lose their homes.

Tenants could move temporarily into a vacant area of the blocks for as little as a week while the work is done in phases, or possibly even with the tenants staying in situ altogether, the report commissioned by residents says.
