The Tax Take: A bilateral sense of loss may be just what’s needed

Beyond the rhetoric and posturing, people’s livelihoods are at stake in the current negotiations between the EU and Britain. It’s time for the politicians to wake up and face that reality

There is a frozen pizza manufacturer in the West Midlands in Britain. It buys cheese from Irish creameries and ships it across to Britain. Then it uses it in the assembly of the pizza, freezes the pizza and sends some of the finished product back to the Irish market.
