Strong '161' plate pre-orders have given industry belief in continued resurgence

Around 150,000 new cars will be registered in Ireland in 2016, representing a 20 per cent increase year-on-year, according to senior industry figures.

Strong pre-orders ahead of the introduction of the new ‘161’ plate on January 1, along with buoyant consumer confidence and the continued growth of PCP finance, have given the Irish motor industry belief in a continued resurgence.
