Spending by US tourists in Dublin grows but significant decline from UK visitors causes concern
The capital’s economy is rising across of number of areas but uncertainty remains
Expenditure from American tourists grew by 7.6 per cent in the second quarter of the year but spending from British tourists fell by 15.9 per cent in the same period, compared to the first three months of the year.
The latest Dublin Economic Monitor, collated from the four local authorities in the capital, showed that activity in the county remains in expansion mode but said the fall in British tourism spending was “concerning”.
