At the turn of the century, in the wake of the dotcom bubble bursting, Marcus Ryu and his buddies were looking for a place that was boring. They wanted a sector that was not drawing a whole lot of interest but needed real work. In the process they have built a business that is now worth almost $8 billion and is working with a quarter of the insurance business.
