The pitfalls of pay-as-you-go IT services

The cloud is the only direction of travel for enterprise IT, with so many service flavours available for companies to consume that boardrooms are changing their relationship with technology. The big shift is the way they pay for IT, transferring it from a capital cost to operational expenditure, replacing in-house IT stacks that need to be managed and maintained with light-touch services taken on subscription.
