Revolut takes on Square and SumUp with point-of-sales solution

Revolut is going head-to-head with Jack Dorsey’s Square and SumUp by launching point-of-sales (POS) software for Irish SMEs.

It is the latest move by the fintech, which has over 2 million Irish customers, to become the payments company of choice locally. It comes as the company has gone way beyond its initial remit of money transfers into areas such as insurance and even mortgages.
