Fears for Irish jobs as Riot Games to cut 530 roles globally
US esports company best known for League of Legends, employs 300 people in Ireland, where its European HQ is located
Riot Games, the US esports company which employs about 300 people at its European headquarters in Dublin, has announced plans to cut over 500 jobs globally.
The company did not offer a detailed breakdown of which regions will be impacted by the layoffs but it is unlikely that the Irish operation will be spared. The cuts affect approximately 11 per cent of the firm’s global headcount.
