Tech salaries stagnate despite soaring inflation

Salaries at technology firms stagnated last year despite a significant rise in inflation, meaning employees were left out of pocket, according to new research.

Prosperity, an Irish recruitment agency, said salaries for over 140 roles were unmoved except for performance marketing positions, which recorded a 5 per cent increase compared to the previous year.

This meant salaries failed to keep track with inflation, which averaged 5.2 per cent in Ireland for 2023.
