Outlook bright for pub sector as 12 Dublin hostelries change hands

Publicans look set to benefit from Culture Minister Catherine Martin’s new €2.6 million grant scheme which will support a range of entertainment activities in off-peak times.
The scheme aims to increase night-time footfall in cities and towns by subsidising music, comedy, dance, literature, dramas and exhibitions.
The move comes as the sector is already benefiting from the post Covid-19 bounce, in terms of both its volume of drinks business and sales of licensed premises.
