Concerns over consumer access to goods during freak weather could be assuaged by online suppliers renting warehouses close to urban centres, writes Donal Buckley

Storm Emma brought home the growing importance of last-mile deliveries for consumers, retailers and logistics companies. It highlighted how distance from suppliers makes consumers more vulnerable to major weather events, from blizzards to tropical storms.
