Aldi €5m exclusive deal is the icing on the cake for Twomey’s

The third-generation Limerick bakery, which makes breads, scones, tarts and sponges, plans to expand its offering which will be sold in 150 Aldi stores around the country

Twomey’s Bakery, a 120-year-old Limerick business which claims to employ “some of the best bakers in the country”, is aiming to expand its product offering in the coming months after signing a new €5 million distribution deal with Aldi.

The agreement means that Twomey’s, which sells breads, scones, tarts and sponges, will sell exclusively in 150 Aldi stores around the country.
