Scheme sees €750m spent on home improvements
Over €750m have been spent on home improvements in the last two years

More than 48,400 jobs have been undertaken over two years

Property owners have spent more than €750 million on home improvements since October 2013, encouraged by a tax incentive scheme.

The Home Renovation Incentive (HRI) scheme provides a tax credit for homeowners for qualifying expenditure on repair, renovation or improvement work carried out on their homes by tax compliant contractors.

According to new Revenue figures, more than 48,400 home improvement projects valued at €755.6 million have been carried out under the scheme since its introduction.
