Over €750m have been spent on home improvements in the last two years

Property owners have spent more than €750 million on home improvements since October 2013, encouraged by a tax incentive scheme.

The Home Renovation Incentive (HRI) scheme provides a tax credit for homeowners for qualifying expenditure on repair, renovation or improvement work carried out on their homes by tax compliant contractors.
