Pippa Hackett, the Green Party minister, has been involved in a heated row with independent TDs which led to Dáil proceedings being suspended twice.

It came during a debate about the EU’s proposed nature restoration law.

Danny Healy-Rae, the independent Kerry TD, had questioned why Pippa Hackett, who is the Minister of State for Agriculture, was in a ministerial position given that she had been elected to the Seanad in 2020.
