Ivana Bacik, the Labour Party leader, has been handing out leaflets to residents in her constituency to notify them about the arrival of asylum seekers.

She has been knocking on doors on Charleston Road, an affluent tree-lined street in Ranelagh in south Dublin, where 66 male asylum seekers are going to be accommodated in two guesthouses for a two-year period.
