The first of three US presidential debates takes place tomorrow - can the carefully choreographed format influence the outcome?

It’s not just hype, but there are indications that tomorrow night’s first of three US presidential debates may make televisual, as well as political, history. It’s being described as the television equivalent of the famous Ali - Foreman fight, the so-called Rumble in the Jungle, or the annual Super Bowl. Given that the last Super-Bowl had an audience of 112 million, this says something about the potential box office appeal of the Clinton vs Trump fixture.
