Workers will have the right to stay in their job until they reach the state pension age of 66, under new legislation which was approved by cabinet yesterday.

Simon Coveney, the enterprise minister, received approval from his government colleagues for the General Scheme of the Employment (Restriction of Certain Mandatory Retirement Ages) Bill 2023.
