There is a €3 billion annual economic benefit to walking and cycling in Ireland’s five largest cities, according to new research from the National Transport Authority (NTA).

The survey shows that 680,000 cars are taken off the roads every day in Ireland’s five largest cities - Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Waterford - because of active travel.
