US tourism ‘vital’ to future of Irish hotels due to higher spending levels

Inbound tourism from the United States will remain “vital” to the future development of Ireland’s hotel sector, as the industry grapples with declining investor interest during a period of record demand.

New research from Deloitte found that while domestic travel has played a “significant role” in the hotel sector’s successful recovery from Covid-19, visitors from America remain crucial for industry growth as they typically spend more money than tourists from other nations.
