Professor David Fitzpatrick, the president of TU Dublin, has resigned his position and will take up a new role in Malaysia amid a deepening crisis over the university’s finances.

Fitzpatrick will depart TU Dublin at the end of May to take up a new role as provost and chief executive of the University of Nottingham Malaysia from June. He will be replaced by Professor John Doran, the current dean of the faculty of science, on ...
