Trustee wants Florida court to consider arresting Illann Power if he fails to produce documents

Trustee is seeking to find out Power’s net worth after he told this newspaper he had an undisclosed ‘eight-figure sum’

Carlow business man Illann Power recently said that he intended to apply to dismiss the voluntary bankruptcy proceedings

Illann Power’s bankruptcy trustee wants a Florida bankruptcy court to declare him in contempt and to consider possibly arresting him if he fails to produce documents she requested.

Maria Yip is the trustee handling the Irish entrepreneur’s voluntary bankruptcy application, in which his assets are liquidated to pay its creditors, in proceedings that began on July of last year. The Revenue Commissioners are his primary creditor.

In recent weeks Yip has been trying to find out Power’s total net worth, after he disclosed in an interview with The Business Post that he had “an eight-figure sum” which hadn’t been disclosed in the bankruptcy application.
