Uncertainties about Brexit have led to a slump in confidence among the top 20 Irish law firms about the business outlook for next year.

According to the latest Smith & Williamson annual law survey, only 38 per cent of the big blue chip firms believe the fortunes of the legal sector will improve in the next 12 months.
