Taking off: Irish spending on flights hits record levels

More than €210 million was spent with airlines in January and February 2024

The amount of money Irish people spent on flights this year so far has hit record levels, according to new data released by AIB, which shows that €210 million worth of flights were booked in January and February.

This is up 10 per cent on the same period last year, while people from Kilkenny, Mayo and Longford had the highest increase in spending on flights.
