Stripe reports rise in payment transactions

The payments technology business, which cut 1,000 jobs late last year, recorded a 26 per cent growth in transaction volume

Stripe, the company founded by Irish brothers Patrick and John Collison, processed more than $817 billion (€746 billion) in payments in 2022, up 26 per cent from 2021.

The figures were announced in an annual letter published by Stripe on Wednesday.

In the letter, the Collisons’ said the number of transactions processed marked a “significant deceleration from the breakneck growth that we saw during 2020 and 2021.”
