The State Claims Agency is facing liability claims of almost €1.5 billion

The State Claims Agency is facing liability claims of almost €1.5 billion from more than 7,200 cases, according to the agency responsible for settling complaints.

The SCA says the number of claims being managed is up almost 17 per cent on the previous year as more public bodies come under its remit.
